京都大学デジタルアーカイブシステムは，2009年4月からの運用開始また2011年3月からの一般公開より，長いあいだ学内外の皆様にご利用いただいてきました。2018年7月より現在のシステムを試験公開し，2019年3月に当初のシステムから完全移行しました。
現在のシステムは，2026年3月に停止し，新しいサービスを開始いたします。
2026年4月からは，京都大学デジタルアーカイブシステムの機能を2つに分け，京都大学研究資源アーカイブの研究資源化事業の成果である資料目録の情報を検索できるサービスと，同じく事業成果であるデジタルデータを閲覧視聴できるサービスとを提供する予定です。

Since its launch in April 2009 and public release in March 2011, Kyoto University Digital Archive System has been widely used by members of the university and beyond. The second generation of the system was tested from July 2018, and the migration was completed in March 2019.
The current system will be discontinued in March 2026, and then a new service will be launched.
Starting in April 2026, we will provide a new two-part system as Kyoto University Digital Archive System. The system will include a service for searching catalogs of materials and a service for viewing digitized images and videos. These catalogs and digitized data are the results of our research resource projects.
